No story. Just fact. I have seen a charging grizzly in Montana taken by a 15 year old girl with 1 shot. From a Bushmaster AR 15. I know this may sound odd, or down right unbelievable, but i saw it. THIS IS WHAT THE NEWSPAPER printed about my story. HERE is what i saw.

This lady was a part of a three person hunting party. I'm assuming the lady was a child of one of the other two men. I was camping as well (locations are not going to be told)and i heard this other camping party the night before shooting their guns at night and hollering for the whole world to hear. After hearing the shooting, i approached the camp yelling loudly, "Man on foot, don't shoot". They laughed at that statement. I asked them gingerly and politely to p[lease keep it down since they are going to either attract or scare away game. They obliged and the night was quiet for the duration. In the am, as i was about to shove off, i heard a scream. Then i heard a shot. I grabbed my 300 winny and ran to them again. As i approached their site, i witnessed a man walk up to a prone grizzly and put a 44 slug between his eyes. As i approached I saw the young lady on the ground crying and holding the mentioned rifle. Long story short. She didn't do as she was supposed to and either bury or hang the debris and food remains away from the camp. She clearly didnt. So what i heard was apparently the second shot from the girl. She saw a grizzly face down in her food cooler, she grabbed her fathers rifle, (No safe on and one chambered) raised, fired and hit the grizzly in the flank. The bear turned spotted her and charged. She SOMEHOW managed to bring up the rifle aim and fire, hitting the grizz in the chest piercing his heart and 1 lung. By this time i had walked over the hill as her father ran out of the tent with sidearm drawn and approached the bear and insured the final result with the shot. MY POINT!!

I actually believe that there is no other ammunition that is needed. If this will take a bear, a squirrel and a man
