Have a respirator mask...breathe safe be safe.
Breathe Save Thru the Bird FluRespirator face masks are rated by how well they filter particles from the air. The larger the number the more particles they stop from entering your lungs. An N95 will filter 95% of any dust, dirt and germs from the air while an N100 will filter 99.9% of non-oily particles. Respirators are also rated on the types of particles that they are able to filter. The letter N for example indicates that the respirator will stop only non-oily particles such as dust, dirt, viral and bacterial agents. Some respirators have exhalation valves. While these make the respirator more comfortable for the person wearing it, they also allow germs and viral agents to be exhaled into the air by that person. Only respirators that do not have an exhalation valve should be worn by people who are ill or contagious. Some occupations create environments where the air is full of particles that are harmful to inhale. Welders, miners, some construction workers should wear particulate respirators. Health care workers who are exposed to contagious diseases such as the flu and tuberculosis always wear respirators. N95 respirator face masks are the most common and are now found in most first aid kits. N95 particulate respirators and N100 particulate respirators are generally found in hospitals and the workplace. Eliminating dangerous particles from the air you breathe protects you and your family.
