(Alaska)

I live in Alaska. I have solar power and use ground water with a filtration system. I use a composting toilet and have wood heat. I have a generator for back-up power and some of my appliances use propane. Currently I work part time which pays for gas, propane, phone, internet and some food. If I no longer had the income I could live without the things I have to pay for. I have basic food stocks that would last for several years with game and fish to supplement. If I had to leave my home for whatever reason I would take food stores in sealed plastic buckets, a few tarps, rope, tools, a crossbow, guns and ammo, fishing net, first aid supplies, heirloom seeds, good boots and durable clothes, warm bedding and make my way deeper into the woods and mountains. I would use a vehicle, abandon it,and pack my supplies in leaving little sign. There I would build a camo'd shelter using a deadfall, the tarps, small logs and brush. Simple furniture can be made with a few tools. My location is already chosen, a river for fish and a spring for water. I live where I do because there are miles and miles of wilderness and few people. I have learned how to dry fish from the local natives, the diet might get boring and I might not be to comfortable, but barring accidents and acts of nature I should be able to survive, and pretty hard to find.
