If You Cannot Move

If You Cannot Move

What do you do if you cannot afford to buy some property in the country?

urbanjungleEven if you can't move to a farm or some remote area, it is entirely possible to survive. Today there are people surviving in war-torn cities around the world, most notably Bagdad. But even historically, there have been urban survivors in Beiruit, Berlin and other war-ravaged cities.

Not everyone, including myself, is able to leave the city, buy some land in a remote area and then start a survival homestead. For that reason you will find some practical advice for urban survival. Whether you live in a house with a little yard or a tiny apartment with no room to breathe, there are some steps you can take to ensure your survival in the event of a devastating disaster.

camping-gear2Practical survival preparedness at Survival Homestead will also provide information on wilderness survival. While anyone can find a day trip to the woods turning into an emergency situation, the best way to avoid that is never go hiking, hunting, fishing or camping without taking a few basics with you.

If you have it and never need it, you’ll have no regrets. However, if you need it and don’t have it because of a failure to prepare, temporary discomfort could turn to tragedy.

Remember even if you cannot move to a farm, a few simple preparations can make your chance of survival much more likely.

Car Survival Gear - what kinds of items should you always have in your car in case of unexpected stranding or breakdowns

Extreme Urban Survival - The first item you will need in an extreme urban survival situation is the will to survive.
