Long-term food storage can keep you independent in a disaster situation

Food storage may just apply to having a supply of canned and dehydrated food stored in your home for inclement weather such as snowstorms or hurricanes. Only buy food that you like, because you will need to rotate by using the older foods and replace with new itemsSometimes long-term food storage means you have canned goods that can be on the shelf for several years or it could be food you do not have to cook.
